Superior System

The Radiflo® non-destructive leak detection system has proven to be the only absolute-accuracy leak detection system for testing hermetic devices from gross leaks through fine leaks to sensitivities as high as 10-13 atm cc/sec. It's fast, with rates from one part per second to rates as high as ten parts per second automatically. An operator can manually test parts at rates of 8000 to 15000 parts per hour. The Radiflo is the only known leak test that can be adapted to testing devices with absolutely no cavity, or "zero-cavity" device.

Here is how Radiflo® works.

Radiflo Process Load Parts

A quantity of components are placed in a lead shielded Pressurization tank.

Radiflo Process Evac 1

The quick-lock lid of the tank is closed and the pressurization tank is evacuated.

Radiflo Process Compress 1

A mixture of air and Krypton-85 gas is pumped into the tank to a preset pressure.

Radiflo Process Soak

Components are soaked for preset time allowing gas to enter leaky components through any leakage paths and is trapped.

The radioactive gas is fully recovered back into
the storage tank for reuse on the next test.
 
Air is introduced into the tank and the 
devices removed for measurement at the
